Hard X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (HAXPES, HXPS, HX-PES, ...) has now become a promising technique to study bulk electronic structure of various kinds of materials by using x-rays from 2 keV upto 15 keV, which enable us probing depth of 10nm - 30nm. The HAXPES conference will bring together experts from a wide variety of fields, from fundamental atomic and molecular physics to applied materials science in the surface, buried nano-structure and multi-layered structures relevant for device applications.
Beginning with the first 1st International Workshop HAXPES 2003 at ESRF, a series of workshops has by now led to the 9th in this Conference series, to be held at Himeji (Japan) in May.31-June.3, 2022. Between 150 and 200 scientists typically attend these single-session conferences, that are carried out in a Gordon Conference spirit. The history of the series and its related workshops are shown below:
- The 1st Int. Workshop, HAXPES2003, Sep. 11-12, ESRF at Grenoble
- The 2nd Int. Workshop, HAXPES2006, Sep. 19-20, SPring-8 at Harima
