Criteria |
・Only unpublished, original works will be accepted.
・Your design must not be the same or resemble another logo (including logo marks found on websites) and must not infringe on a third party’s copyright, trademark, design or other intellectual property rights.
・The RSC logo mark must be unique and must not include all or parts of the RIKEN, SPring-8 or SACLA logo marks.
・Both hand-drawn and computer-generated designs will be accepted. Computer-generated designs should be submitted in a commonly used file format.
・Any kind of design is acceptable, but please note that it may be used in outline on a dark background as well as in color, and may also be enlarged or contracted.
・It must be a design that will have appeal overseas as well as in Japan.
・The design must include the letters “RSC”.
・Please give a simple explanation of the design when you send it in.
・You may submit as many designs as you like. There is no limit on the number of entries that can be made by one person.
・Submitted designs will not be returned. The copyright for the selected design will belong to RIKEN. The selected design may be altered, copyrighted, and/or registered as a trademark.

Screening procedure and announcement of winning entry |
・The selected design will be announced sometime in April 2016, after thorough screening of all entries by a logo screening committee.
A commemorative gift will be given to the person who submits the selected design.

How to submit |
・Send an email or post mail to the addresses given below with the following content: (1) Logo design or data, (2) Explanation of the design, (3) Your name, and (4) Your contact information (email, telephone number, address).
