The activity of the imaging development team is aimed at delivering dependable imaging and scattering platforms, expanding application areas in imaging using short-pulsed coherent x-rays, and promoting leading research on coherent x-ray diffraction. The team puts a particular effort into encouraging international collaboration with pioneering researchers and exploring new frontiers of XFEL imaging by actively exploiting resources of synchrotrons, high power lasers, etc. The team will act as a conveniently accessible route from external users to the facility developments and vice versa. The research focus of the team is at single-particle diffraction imaging of biological specimens, macromolecule complexes and nano-structures.
