On October 19th, SPring-8 10th Anniversary Ceremony took place in Himeji. We had special guests who worked for SPring-8 Center or other synchrotron radiation facilities in the world. More than 300 participants celebrated the significant anniversary. In the morning on 20th, about 100 people participated in the SPring-8 site tour. They looked around the campus having still a huge potential for growth. In the afternoon, Anniversary Symposium was held at CAST, Harima Science Park.The lecturers admired that SPring-8 had made a major conribution to science and society. Also, lectured about construction and development of XFEL facilities, we placed more expectations on the completion of XFEL.
