SPring-8 and RIKEN Harima Institute were opened to the public.(2007.4.22)
On 22 April, we had Harima Campus (SPring-8 Campus) open day, at RIKEN Harima Institute (SPring-8). The Campus open, this year, was named “Come, See, Discover! The Wonder of Science”, In spite of the sprinkling of rain, there were more than 3,400 visitors on the day, which is 500 more than what we had the last year. We gave many craft-experiments, tours and topical lectures. Among many events, people had great interest to operate the latest electronic microscope and took some picture of micro organisms by them selves. They waited about an hour to have this experience. People had great interest to SPring-8. Many people wanted to join SPring-8 tour on the day. A neck strap written a logo with the 10th anniversary as a 2007th souvenir was well received.
