Title Current Status of Oligomeric Protein Crystallography Team
Abstract As a part of the protein 3000 project, we are doing crystallographic studies oriented to structural genomics to elucidate the structure-function relationship of oligomeric proteins, and undertake relevant technological development. For the systematic understanding of the biological role of protein oligomerization, we compare the huge number of crystal structures from the large-scale structural analysis. At the same time, we are developing new technologies for the high-throughput crystallography, including the automated analysis system, the structure evaluation system, and the diffraction checking robot. Through these research and development, we would like to contribute the structural genomics and the relevant industrial application. In this forum, current status and perspective of our team will be discussed mainly through introducing the automated analysis system.
