SPring-8 and RIKEN Harima Institute were exhibited on 24 April. At the RIKEN corner in Storage Ring, Many people were interested in the precious facilities and the forefront research topics. They enjoyed the experiments using liquid nitrogen, microscopes and so on. At the science lecture entitled " You can do it", Dr. KOSHIBA Masatoshi (Emeritus Professor of Tokyo Univ.), The Nobel Prize winner, talked about his experience and research leading to the Nobel Prize. Many people were deeply impressed by his lecture. The day was fine and there were about 3,300 visitors (though the previous year was about 2,800).
