Masaki YAMAMOTO, Senior Scientist, won ?gHyogo SPring-8 Prize h
Hyogo Prefecture announced three winners of "Hyogo SPring-8 prize" on October 27. This prize honors publicly the researcher which accomplished the excellent research result using SPring-8. Masaki YAMAMOTO, Senior Scientist of RIKEN (Coherent X-Ray Optics Lab.), won the prize because he have led to construct the beamlines which can generate synchrotron radiation effective in the protein 3D structural analysis, focused as the core of pharmaceutics. Ryoji NOYORI, President of RIKEN, presented him the letter of thanks on November 20.
