RIKEN symposium Structural Biology (VIII)(2003.1.23〜1.24)

"Structural biology of protein complexes : from structure to mechanisms"

23rd - 24 th , January, 2003 JASRI Hukyuto at SPring-8, Japan

Due to the recent progresses in structural biology, many structures of protein complexes that play important cellular roles have been solved. However, it is not yet obvious how, from the obtained static structures, we can successfully understand the mechanisms. In this RIKEN symposium, the oral presentations by oversea and domestic inivited speakers will be focused on this problem. In the poster session, recent works undertaken in the RIKEN Harima Institure and SPring-8 will be presented and discussed.
