Expertise :

Yuichiro Kamino completed his PhD at the University of Kyoto in 2009, focusing on the development of an advanced X-ray radiation therapy system with dynamic tracking capability. He joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. in 1981 as an Aircraft Electronics System Design Engineer after finishing his master’s coursework at the University of Kyoto. He worked on radar systems, communication systems, navigation systems, and signature control as an expert for electromagnetic engineering from 1981 through 1996. From 1996 through 1998, he joined the development of electron beam sterilization systems and completed the development of a 25kW LINAC type system. From 1999 through 2009, he was the project manager for F-15 fighter aircraft. At the same time, he was involved in development of an advanced X-ray radiation therapy system. In this project he invented the world’s smallest C-Band LINAC. He now serves as the Senior Chief Engineer in the Integrated Defense and Space Systems of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.
