Expertise : Takeshi Nishiuchi joined Hitachi Metals, Ltd. (formerly Sumitomo Special Metals Co., Ltd.) in 1996. Since then, he has belonged to the R&D section. He received his PhD in 2010 from Osaka University for studies of microstructure formation mechanisms in the hydrogen-related process of Nd-Fe-B-based magnets, especially using the positron annihilation method. He is currently a Senior Researcher at the Magnetic Materials Research Laboratory and is engaged in research and development of permanent magnets, such as Nd-Fe-B and ferrite.
