Expertise : Do Young Noh completed his PhD in physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1991 with work on synchrotron x-ray scattering study of liquid crystal films. After finishing his post-doctoral work at MIT on surface x-ray scattering, he joined Exxon Research and Engineering Company in 1993. In 1995, he returned to Korea and joined Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology as an assistant professor and promoted to full professor in 2001. He served as the director of Brain Korea 21 project from 2005 to 2009. He is PI of a Nation Core Research Center Program funded by National Research Foundation of Korea. He has served as Dean of GIST college since 2012.
