Various innovative x-ray imaging techniques are emerging using the interference of x-rays available at the 3rd generation synchrotron radiation facilities. SR Imaging Instrumentation Unit implements the common equipments for the users of undulator beamline BL29XUL at SPring8, developing the cutting edge of x-ray imaging techniques, such as coherent diffraction microscopy and nano-focusing, as well as the hard x-ray photo-electron spectroscopy, so that outstanding science is achieved in the medical, biological and material fields. This Unit plans to develop original x-ray imaging techniqures and optical elements, for the purpose of the beam diagnosis and the utilization research at SPring-8 and at the 4th generation synchrotron radiation light source, the x-ray free electron laser.
